Water covers 70 percent of the Earth’s surface and is the most essential and essential substance for all living things to survive. However, freshwater – what we need to drink and irrigate our fields – makes up only 3 percent of the world’s water, and more than two-thirds of it is locked away in frozen glaciers and unavailable for consumption.

Global AI demand is projected to account for 1.1 to 1.74 trillion gallons of water withdrawal by 2027, more than four times the water withdrawal of Denmark and almost half of the UK’s. it also estimates that total annual on-site water consumption by US data centers will be between 40 billion and 74 billion gallons by 2028. Which means using more than most countries that are using fresh water.

Al is using over 0.05% of fresh water just to cool down the data center, and not sea water or cloudy water only fresh water that we drink everyday. While over 2 billion people need fresh water to survive, and more than 1 million people are dying every year from diseases linked to unsafe drinking water,
