The Agnes Scott College Softball Team is petitioning to build a softball field on campus so its players no longer have to travel off-campus to play their sport at Oakhurst Park. This issue has caused problems for our team and our community for many years and it's time we did something about it. 

Here are some of the issues:

• Lack of transportation for players/supporters
• Issues with neighbors surrounding the field
• Unhygienic facilities
• Lack of safe places to maintain equipment
• Scheduling conflicts with the city
• Lack of parking
• Missing meals
• Due to it being public property, we are unable to access the field without permission from the county
• As well as numerous other issues

Although this may seem like a needless issue, this has affected not only the Agnes Scott Softball Team but the entire Athletic Department for many years and continues to do so today. Every other sport has a place on campus to practice their sport whenever they need. With your help, we can be one step closer to having our very own field. Oakhurst Park is a wonderful field but it does not work for college athletes.
