I'm 40 yrs old and never had a driver license. I'm a ex felon, ex addict, who grew up in the inter city of Cleveland. I was introduced to drugs, violence, at 10 yrs old. From 10 yrs old to 32 yrs old I used drugs everyday and that caused me alot of problems mentally and emotionally. With no adult supervision, guidance, or food I begin stealing cars to feed myself. I got (2) failure to comply with a police signal. No one got hurt and I served prison time on both. The judge revolked my driver license for life. For the past 10+ yrs I have been a sober, hard working productive citizen. I never wanna break the law again. But I have no choice but to get to work to support my family of 5. I need help getting my license back so I can provide for my family without worrying about losing everything due to a driver license.  I never had a accident or hurt anyone. In fact I never had a moving violation at all. But when your poor like me there's no one to fight for you. And it's almost impossible to get someone to believe in you. Through hard work and my family I moved to a rual area that's alot safer for my kids but there's no public transportation. The local judge wanted to help me get a driver's license after I got pulled over but after seeing that Cleveland judge put a indefinite suspension on my license she said he's the only person who can remove it. So all attempts to get them back have failed. I don't understand... I feel like why not give me a chance to succeed if I'm willing to work for a decade on becoming a good citizen. Just seems because of my economic situation I don't have money to pay a lawyer to talk to the judge and prove my worth to society and show him I'm only human I made alot of bad desisions and I fully accept the punishment that I received. Since that day at sentencing I totally changed and realize that when I'm sober and working I never do anything to jeopardize my freedom or lose my family. If I can just have 20 minutes to talk to the judge face to face I think I could make my case to at least get  work privileges. My economic situation shouldn't be a factor in getting access to talk to the judge on my behalf. Thanks
