African Development Bank ( AFDB) is a Pan African Bank that is meant to help stabilized Africa`s banking sector and Countries in Africa, hence it makes no sense that foreign countries will be shareholders in this bank thereby Manipulating us financialy and opposing all the good work AFDB is doing in africa.

Its time that Africa controls its on affairs without foreign meddling in our Financial institution of AFDB. Just as no African Country has any share in any foreign countries Bank.

We are really baffled to see North American, E.U, Asia, South American and others, being stakeholders in AfDB. Alot needs to be stopped in Afrika as this setup is weird. Not sure if AfDB has got its own money, but We need to start working with what we have - not this sell out...

The US is a non-African member of the bank and a major shareholder at that. The top 10 shareholders of the AfDB are Nigeria (8.20%), USA(6.60%),Egypt (5.60%),Japan (5.50%),South Africa (5.10%),Algeria (4.20%),Germany (4.20%),Canada (3.90%),France(3.80%) and Côte d’Ivoire (3.80%).

No Wonder they Pretend to give us Loans and Aids only to collect them back from our AFDB, This must Stop, all Foreign Shareholders in AFDB MUST hands Off,we have to buy back these share as only African Countries can have shares and run this bank, no foreign worker, No foreign partners,and NO foreign country having Shares in AFDB.
