Each year one AFL great has been elevated to AFL Hall of Fame Legend Status. In 2021 more than one legend ‘might’ be elevated.

I can think of no one more deserving than Russell Ebert with his contribution to football. 392 SANFL games for Port Adelaide, 25 games at North Melbourne in the VFL and 29 for South Australia. A whopping 446 games at elite level.

Add 183 games coached, sports administration, junior coaching, mentoring and school/indigenous involvement with Port Adelaide over 54 years, and you have an incredible legend candidate.

Add your vote to the petition and recognise the great and kind work of Russell. The fact he hasn’t been elevated to date is unusual already, let’s add our collective voice to the selection process.
