The poor and disadvantaged people, as well as middle income workers are confronted with an alarming reality; the cost of housing has become so high that a significant portion of the population can no longer afford to own a home.

The gap between the rich and poor is exponentially increasing every day. As a result, the poor, students, single parents and the working class are finding it difficult to make ends meet due to the hike in rental properties and rising costs of living. They seriously lack in nutritional requirements, educational equity and health care. People owning investment properties and overseas buyers who have the financial capabilities are pushing the disadvantaged further into the abyss. 

If we do not act now, one to two decades later, we could be faced with third world conditions leading to social and economical unrest. We could enter into a dangerous predicament extremist views could gain traction by exploiting feelings of resentment and despair. Time is running out and we need to act immediately, by raising awareness within communities to put pressure on the community leaders that are running this country.
