This harrowing experience has highlighted the urgent need for stronger data privacy and security measures to protect individuals from similar harm. Our petition calls for comprehensive changes in the tech industry including higher cybersecurity standards, responsible content moderation, the right to repair, and increased digital literacy.

We also advocate for ethical AI practices. According to a study by Capgemini Research Institute (2020), 62% of consumers would place higher trust in companies whose AI interactions they perceived as ethical. We believe that fair competition is crucial in this sector; monopolistic practices stifle innovation and limit consumer choice.

Net neutrality is another key issue we stand behind; it ensures that all internet traffic is treated equally without any discrimination or preference given by Internet Service Providers (ISPs). We also push for digital accessibility - according to World Health Organization (WHO), over 1 billion people need one or more assistive products but only 1 in 10 have access.

Lastly, we urge tech companies to prioritize environmental sustainability. E-waste generated worldwide was around 53.6 million metric tons in 2019 according to Global E-Waste Monitor report (2020) - an alarming figure which underlines the importance of sustainable practices within this industry.
