Advocate for Men's Rights and Support Against Suicidal Tendencies
The issue
We start this petition from a place of personal anguish and an alarming recognition of the systemic issues affecting men in our society. The harsh reality is, men have been targeted. We encounter cruelty, often from those we do not expect it from. The actions that are meant to uplift, sometimes end up creating a breeding ground for hurtful stereotypes and negative narratives. An unforeseen consequence seems to be an invasion into our spaces, such as our gyms, altering the unspoken rules of respect and space that traditionally exist there.
Such societal pressure has resulted in a steep rise in suicidal tendencies among men. As per the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, men died by suicide 3.56 times more often than women in 2018 [source: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention] and is growing fast. Especially in Australia where the Government conpletely dismiss mens health and mental heath issues that have become dangerously high to this day. The suicide rate is higher than ever, 5 x higher than women who are causing this uprise with the feminist movements being pushed too far. This not just an isolated statistic, but an indicator of the ongoing crisis.
There is a crucial need to address and rectify this among all sectors of society. The narrative that all women are innocent while men bear all culpability, should be challenged. Advocacy for men's rights is not a campaign against women, but an attempt to establish an equal playing field. We demand the government not turn a blind eye towards us. The system should respect the rights of every gender and initiate necessary changes to alleviate the mental health crisis among men.
Join us today, as we rally for an understanding and inclusive world. It is time to champion for the rights of men without shying away from addressing the adverse implications of societal stereotypes. Stand up and support us against suicidal tendencies. We need your voice in this fight; we all do. Please, sign this petition.
