I have 4 children educated in the Ball Chatham School District. I believe our children receive an excellent education in our district. This is directly related to the time, attention, and care the educational staff give to our children.

Teachers are entrusted with the immense responsibility of shaping young minds and preparing our children for their future roles in society. Despite their dedication, many teachers in our district are not receiving fair wages that reflect their hard work and commitment. According to data from the National Education Association, Illinois ranks 11th in average teacher salary but significant disparities exist within districts (source: NEA). Ensuring that teachers are compensated fairly is crucial for maintaining high-quality education and retaining talented educators.
