I have a deep personal connection with our beloved librarian, Ms. Rigos. Her passion for books and her dedication to her students is unparalleled. However, she currently serves at Plaza, and we are missing out on her expertise at the LEAD Education Center in Kansas City, MO.

The importance of libraries in schools cannot be overstated. According to the American Library Association (ALA), school libraries play an essential role in student achievement by providing access to information resources and learning tools (ALA 2018). Yet, we lack this crucial facility at the LEAD centre.

We propose that the school board consider creating a library within LEAD premises. This would not only enhance our educational resources but also provide students with an environment conducive to learning outside classroom hours.

Furthermore, we request that Ms. Rigos be transferred to manage this new library at LEAD Education Center due to her exceptional skills as a librarian and her ability to inspire and support students.
