I speak as a concerned resident of the future Avenir community, a wonderful development that, once completed, will house 4000 homes sheltering 8,000 to 10,000 residents. We moved to this community desiring peace and tranquility, expecting a balance between modern amenities and respite from the constant noise of city living. However, our experience has been marred by the detrimental repercussions of North County Palm Beach Airport’s flight patterns.

The frequent take-offs and landings from the flight schools associated with the airport have become a daily disruption. These flights occur with such regularity and at all hours, to the point where it is hard to enjoy the simple pleasure of our backyards due to the incessant noise pollution and the stress of low flying planes.

Not only this, but looming over our community is the proposed expansion of the airport, leading to an increase in runway numbers. This will undoubtedly amplify the current issues faced and disrupt the serenity we aimed for when choosing to reside here.

We urge the authorities to reconsider the flight patterns from their schools and the proposed runway expansion. We are not against the airport’s operations or growth, but we seek alternative accommodations that respect our community's tranquility while allowing the airport and its associated flight schools to flourish.
