This petition  is not against vaccinations, or not a pro- trucker’s movement. It is basically to preserve our healthcare force that is already strained and will be losing 4000 professionals if this went through. 

Being a pharmacy owner of multiple stores in Northern BC , we already struggle with staffing as it is now , plus we have Telepharmacies that cannot operate without registered pharmacy technicians, we will be losing 2 of our 3 technicians which means there is a good chance of these locations having to close depriving small towns like Granisle BC , Danskin  BC of a very essential pharmacy service..forcing patients (mainly elderlies ) to drive 2-3 hours to fill a prescription. 
this is just a small scope of the effect of that mandate, you can extrapolate and look at the bigger picture across the province. Not to mention the amount of doctors and nurses that small communities struggle to hire , what’s going to happen to those communities?? BC is not Vancouver and Victoria, decisions should be made in the best interest of all British Columbians . While people of large cities might not be as effected . But we are Canadian British Columbians too . And we have the right to have proper access to care . So you can either drop this counterproductive and destructive mandate in my opinion, or make it easier for foreign professionals to practice in Canada without wasting 3 years of their life getting licensed in Canada ( as did I ) .

we are not an opposition movement, i want to make that clear , this is not about whether the vaccines are effective or not ( although being a pharmacist and looking at the data , I don’t see a solid proof of the efficacy) . We have nothing to do with the truckers movement. 
we basically want that horrible mandate dropped , you can have other ways like asking those professionals to do 2 Antigen tests  a week , giving the patients the right for asking for a full disclosure about their healthcare professionals vaccinations status then they can decide. There are so many ways to do this without that authoritarian way of accomplishment

 

we are not just saving small rural communities by doing this, we are saving families. I personally know a family where the husband is a physician and the wife is a registered pharmacy technician , and they told me  if this passes, they will be looking at any job (Cashiers, sales, etc ) to provide food and essentials to their family. Can you imagine the impact. This is a family that in normal situations should make $300-$400K a year, now looking for alternatives to provide food on the table ..

 

this is wrong , and as abiding i am with what our government mandates , i Love Canada too much to see it go downhill like that . I love my small town Fort St James . I love that i made a difference in people’s life in Granisle and Danskin (Southside) BC . And I don’t want all that to be flushed down the drain for some erratic decisions from people that obviously don’t know what it is like in the real world , don’t have to wait 7-8 hours at ER to see a doctor . Having their “elective surgeries “ postponed years to care for COVID patients ( don’t get how a hip replacement operation is an elective surgery but what do i know �‍♂️)
