I’m starting a petition regarding the “ Squat Ban “ that was passed earlier last year in Mississippi. The requirement is no bigger then 4 inches and this needs to be increased by at least 3-4 inches.

Most trucks from the factory come with the front fenders being higher on the body then the back ones due to the truck having a bedside. I have a truck that is completely leveled basically and have received 2 tickets because i am at 5” difference and im on the verge of loosing my license due to this and i wont have a way to work or commute around when needed too. 

I am not the only one, there are numerous people that have the same complaint. Please take a look at this and consider fixing the bill. I understand  some squatted truck are way to much and they really can’t see but most of us are not even squatted and have pretty much leveled trucks but are having to pay fines and risking loosing our license because of how our vehicle looks due to the people that do it to the extreme.

We are not selling drugs, killing people, robbing people, doing illegal activities. We have a hobby that is harmless and we enjoy doing it and build friendships around it and most of us have “fixed” it but it still isn’t enough due to the requirements being so small so most of us are having to ether well our vehicles, take our lift kits off, or just risk loosing our license every single day which is not fair.

The trucks that have there back end on the tire are usually at a 12-14” difference while the ones with the rear lifts in and have the smallest amount of squat are getting treated the exact same when they are 2 different situations

This petition isn’t to get rid of the bill completely, it’s just to hopefully get the bill adjusted and fixed accordingly because as of right now, if you have a lift kit with big wheels and it’s leveled, you are going to get a squatted truck ticket depending on the city you live in and the cop.
