On November 11, 2002, Missy Elliott released 'Gossip Folks' as the second single release on 'Under Construction.'  Missy Elliott is a Grammy Award winning, Vanguard Artist like Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson [you can ask MTV, I don't make the rules].  

I was 9 when Gossip Folks came out and I remember when Gossip Folks debuted on 106 & Park-- because I had to sneak to watch!  Like most Missy Elliott videos or songs, I became obsessed.  Even now as an adult, rapping every single bar of 'Gossip Folks' has gotten me through some tough workdays. 

There is one thing that has always bothered me about Gossip Folks: Missy Elliott wore several ADIDAS fits... and the trefoil logo was blurred out.  You know it's Adidas because of the three stripes down the side of the suits... and because of this tweet here where Missy Elliott discusses it.  

On November 12, 2020, I direct messaged Missy Elliott on Twitter.  In all honesty, I did it on a whim... and forgot about it.  Today, November 29, 2020: I checked my DMs and my Good Sis responded!  

I asked Missy Elliott about a commemorative Gossip Folks x Adidas collaboration to celebrate her and that iconic video.  Missy responded and said: "you should @ Adidas, tell them to."
