adidas has sponsored Newcastle United from 1995 until 2010 and has produced many iconic and good quality football jerseys for players and fans alike. As a Newcastle United supporter, I personally had never liked the idea of Puma or having a black cat or any other coloured cat logo on a Newcastle kit. It's synonymous with Sunderland and it should not be anywhere near a Newcastle United kit. In line with the upcoming take over, adidas should look to resurrect their sponsorship deal with Newcastle United. Every single Newcastle fan would be overjoyed with a brand such as adidas which guarantees quality and comfort as well as value for money in terms of merchandises. I also hope that a much better shirt sponsor would take over from the current sponsor. Enough of virgin money, wonga or fun88 as sponsors because they immediately destroy the look and design of a football jersey. Reputable brands and companies make far much better looking football kits. Perhaps Saudi Airlines or Saudia Aramco could consider being the kit's main sponsor should the takeover go through. Newcastle Brown Ale logo made one of the most iconic football shirts ever. I have had enough of sub standard quality and lazy template designs of Newcastle United's jersey's by Puma.
