The Issue

In Uttar Pradesh Employee working in PACS(primary agriculture cooperative societies ) fulfill 75% need of farmers which includes fertilisers, seeds, agriculture equipment, loan distribution which also includes procurement of agricultural produces( like wheat and rice). They are doing their work with utmost diligence and they don't have fixed working hours which most of the time extend to 12 hours a day.

But it is shocking that 90% of them have not got their salary from last 1 years. And state government is not giving them any grants to help them survive. Most of them have still continued their job because they don't have any other option to live.

Also at ground level they have been harassed by compromising rules. Their moral is down and repeated petitions to higher officials have no fruitful results.

Such a negligence of people on whose shoulders whole agriculture is dependent is against the agriculture development and against the vision of state and central government So they have decided a strike from 23 Oct 2017.

Their rightful demand is just pay them their salary so they can survive with their family.
