Project Background
Bullying is one of the academic issues that most educators face and it is one of the most top concern of parents. Bullying is a prevalent form of youth violence, particularly in school settings. It is a form of aggressive behavior in which someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury or discomfort. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words, or more subtle actions. The bullied individual typically has trouble defending him or herself and does nothing to “cause” the bullying. Cyberbully is verbally threatening or harassing behavior conducted through such electronic technology as cell phones, email, social media, or text messaging.
Victims of bullying are vulnerable to negative physical, educational, and mental health issues. Students who are bullied frequently exhibit signs of depression and anxiety, disrupted sleeping and eating patterns, and loss of interest in previously pleasurable hobbies. These individuals report an increase in sadness and loneliness, as well as a decrease in academic performance.
Thus, our lawmakers came up with Republic Act No. 10627 known as the “Anti- Bullying Act of 2013” which protects students from bullying and other forms of violence. This law aims for the guarantee that school being the second home of the students will be a safe place for their growth and learning. Bullying in school compound has negative effects on individual students and on the school climate as well.
The “Anti- Bullying Act” mainly focus its implementation on schools. Both public and private schools were addressed to face this concern. The Department of Education as the primary concerned agency in the strict implementation of the R.A. No. 10627 promotes all schools to adopt and conduct awareness-raising programs against bullying.
The proposal to be conducted shall involve students, teachers, principal and police in creating and maintaining the school as child- friendly school. The goal of this prevention is to decrease the prevalence of bullying and to promote a safe and warm environment.
Project Objectives
To Stop Bullying
To prevent gang development and repressing their aggressive behavior that serves as a crisis reaction to violence in schools.

The aim of the anti-bullying policy is to ensure that pupils learn in a
supportive, caring and safe environment without fear of being bullied.
Bullying is anti-social behaviour and affects everyone; it is unacceptable. We
are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of
our pupils so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. If bullying
does occur, all pupils should be able to tell and know that incidents will be
dealt with promptly and effectively.Persistent bullying can severely inhibit a child’s ability to learn effectively.
The negative effects of bullying can have an impact on a person for their
entire life. This school wishes to promote a secure and happy environment free from threat, harassment and any type of bullying behaviour. Thereforethis policy promotes practices within the school to reinforce our vision, and
remove or discourage practices that negate them.
Conclusion-
This proposal suggests that the best way to prevent bullying is to foster a strong community in which teachers, school administrators, and students are all engaged. Most children are empathetic and want to help but are unsure how to because confronting bullies is difficult. Some students are often reluctant to report bullying to adults because they are afraid of being perceived and making themselves the targets of bullies.
The solution capitalizes upon this insight to in order to strengthen the effectiveness of anti-bullying project in schools. Furthermore, proposing a system in which students can anonymously report instances of bullying. Teachers and school administrators can then use this information to track whether or not reports of bullying decrease or increase over time in order to determine whether or not school sponsored efforts to intervene are actually effective. This information could also bring issues to light that teachers, administrators, and parents were unaware of; anti-bullying modules could then be modified to the problems most commonly experienced in a particular school. Having a police officers stationed there every time the students will go home is a huge help to monitor, so the students are likewise wary of causing any trouble.
