Why this petition matters: Paraiso, Cristine, Carreon, James Limuel, Gamboa, Maricris, and Indicio John Ford started this petition not only to Address the Classroom Shortage and lack of facilities in many schools, in the Philippines. This petition is for also to make voices and for the government to prioritize this current problem that many schools in the Philippines are facing. 

Based on parameters, at least 50% of all 7,520 existing senior high school classrooms are congested, while 41% of all 10,188 junior high school classrooms are overcrowded. Meanwhile, 32% of all primary school (K-6) are crammed. Overcrowded schools are a serious problem in many schools. Especially, public schools in the philippines. One of these causes of having a overcrowded schools is the lack of proper facilities specially the classrooms, where government provided classroom literally. Lack of classroom space has a major impact on a student's academic performance. The lack of a classroom can cause a student's low performance during class because students are crowded in a room and a teacher cannot give attention to the whole class. It's not only crucial for students; it's also crucial for teachers. Teaching 50 or more students in one classroom is a lot of work because the goal of teachers is not only to teach the students but to make sure that the students have learned something. A conducive classroom environment helps both teachers to teach effectively and students to learn with ease and perform better academically (2024).
