The Issue

I’m writing this petition because housing and food cost too much in Soledad, California. This is hurting our community, especially families who have less money.

In recent years, home prices have gone up a lot, and rent has risen too. Wages haven’t increased as fast, so many families can’t afford to stay. Some are forced to move away or live in unsafe or poor conditions.

Food prices have also increased. Families now have to choose between paying rent and buying groceries. This is making it harder to live day to day.

Many people in Soledad are struggling. They may have to cut back on necessities or work extra jobs just to get by. It’s sad to see hardworking families and children being pushed into difficult situations.

I ask city leaders to take action. They should work on affordable housing, consider rent control, and find ways to lower food costs—such as supporting local farmers.

Please sign this petition to call for real change. Together, we can push our local leaders to make Soledad more affordable and livable for everyone.
