As the 2026 lacrosse season is nearing, our girls' varsity team has faced a challenge with getting the season started. Since our old coach has moved away, our team has had the task of finding a new one. Given that lacrosse is still a growing sport on the west coast, it has been difficult finding someone who is ready to take on this position. Our school had selected someone who has no experience in the sport, and a number of girls on the team also feel uncomfortable with said person due to past interactions. Our team captains have found other, more eligible people, to fill in this position but are having a difficult time getting the school to listen and help us address the issue at hand. In order to confront this problem, we have created a petition in efforts to have another coach. We care about the environment on this team. We show up everyday and dedicate ourselves to this sport.
