Subject: Urgent Representation Regarding Two-Wheeler Rider Rates, Oversized Parcel Penalties, and Operational Issues in Pune
Dear Porter Team,
I am writing on behalf of Porter two-wheeler riders in Pune to raise several important concerns regarding the current delivery system and request appropriate action.
Our key requests are as follows:
Two-Wheeler Orders in Pune: There should be sufficient and fairly distributed orders for two-wheeler riders so that riders have a reasonable opportunity to earn.
Fair Per-Kilometre Rates: We request that the rates for two-wheeler deliveries be revised as follows:
Bike: ₹15 per km
Scooty: ₹20 per km
Oversized Parcel Cancellations: In Porter Parcel, approximately 8 out of 10 orders are oversized, making them difficult or unsuitable for two-wheeler riders. Riders should be allowed to cancel such oversized orders without any cancellation penalty or limit, and their IDs should not be suspended or restricted for cancelling orders that are unsuitable for their vehicle.
Limited Number of Riders in Pune: We request that the total number of active two-wheeler riders in Pune be reasonably regulated, preferably around 2,000–3,000 riders, so that available orders can be distributed fairly and riders do not remain idle for excessive periods.
Timely Rider Support: Riders should receive timely assistance and proper support from Porter whenever they face issues related to orders, cancellations, payments, oversized parcels, or their accounts.
We request Porter management to seriously consider these concerns and take appropriate action. We are willing to provide supporting evidence and records regarding these issues.
If our genuine concerns are not addressed within a period of 3 months from the date of this letter (i.e., by November 27, 2026), we may be compelled to seek appropriate legal remedies, including approaching the relevant Authorities and Courts. We have preserved relevant evidence and documentation supporting our concerns and are prepared to submit it to the appropriate authorities. If necessary, 1,000+ riders may participate in the legal proceedings.
We hope Porter will resolve these matters amicably and take prompt, fair, and rider-friendly action.
