Address Noise(Ban DJ), Traffic Violations, Roads Block, Littering in Nagarkurnool District
The Issue
Living in Nagarkurnool district, particularly in a peaceful neighborhood for many where several stroke patients and retired employees reside, we uphold the value of a tranquil environment that supports our well-being and daily activities. Recently, our locality has faced few challenges mainly during festival times by violation law and constitutional laws.
Four Major Issues include:-
1. Noise Pollution (DJs, Heavy Speakers): On the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi and other festivities, contrary to regulations, DJs and heavy loud speakers with high volume are being set up, causing severe noise pollution.
2. Bikes Without Number Plates and with Loud Noise of Silencers: Vehicles entering the colony without number plates and moving around with modified silencers making loud noise, causing nuisance on the roads.
3. Blocking Roads: In Ward No. 23, Raghavendra Colony, Road Nos. 01, 02, and 03 are completely blocked, causing severe disruption to the movement of emergency vehicles.
4. Dumping Garbage and Littering: Despite the municipal garbage vehicle arriving, garbage and covers are irresponsibly thrown on the roads, creating unsanitary dumping.
Our primary concern revolves around the noise pollution caused by DJ and blocking of 3 key roads which poses a grave risk to emergency vehicle access. Imagine an ambulance or fire engine struggling to navigate its way amidst blocked pathways. This isn't just inconvenient, it could be life-threatening for those in need of immediate medical attention.
Moreover, there are children who must commute to school, and these road disturbances severely disrupt their educational schedule. Similarly, elderly residents who often require timely healthcare find their routines hampered.
This is more than just a plea for convenience; it’s a call for action to safeguard our community. We ask the local authorities to strictly regulate road blockages and ensure festival events comply with sound pollution laws. Emergency vehicle routes should never be compromised, and any celebration should honor the peace and safety of residents.
For the betterment of our district, we also urge the enforcement of decibel limits for any public festivities. Festivals should coexist harmoniously with community welfare, allowing celebrations without compromising public health and safety.
