The Issue

For too long, the maintenance man in our neighborhood has overstepped his boundaries, creating unwarranted problems for residents. His relentless intrusion onto properties under the guise of 'maintenance', coupled with his disrespectful demeanor towards women, has fostered an environment of discomfort and tension. The community members are frequently confronted by his aggressive driving, which nearly endangers pedestrians on the road. Furthermore, his practice of applying hard-to-remove adhesive stickers on vehicles  and attempting to get them towed has only escalated tensions.

This behavior is not reflective of the community spirit that South Lyon prides itself on. Rather than providing the support and service expected from his role, he appears to be on a self-imposed power trip. The maintenance duties he is supposed to prioritize are neglected. The community pond, for example, has become increasingly disgusting and appears unsanitary, yet no action has been taken to clean or improve it. There are broken fences for weeks with him having knowledge about it but still doing nothing.

His failure to pick up litter while simultaneously criticizing residents on the maintenance of their own properties is both hypocritical and unacceptable. We need a maintenance worker who respects the community and fulfills their responsibilities diligently.

We call on community leaders and relevant authorities to address these issues promptly. It is essential to reassess his role and approach in maintaining our neighborhood. Our goal is to foster a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for all residents of Woodland Ridge.

Sign this petition to demand accountability and action. Let’s create a strong community, free from unnecessary harassment and dedicated to collective well-being. Together, we can ensure that our neighborhood remains a great place to live.
