Highway 42, which is a crucial artery for residents, daily commuters, and visitors, has seen significant changes in its lane markings. While safety improvements are commendable, these changes have resulted in unintended consequences, notably, an alarming increase in traffic congestion and compromised driver safety. Residents and commuters alike have experienced extended travel times and more frequent incidents of abrupt braking, increasing the likelihood of accidents.

ODOT's decision to modify these lanes requires immediate reassessment to mitigate these risks.
