Living in Hastings has been a source of pride and joy for many of us. However, the peace and comfort of our area  and overall quality of life, been marred by increasing instances of antisocial behaviour and drug use. As many of you are aware, the area outside Martin Court gates has become a hotspot for these activities, posing a significant threat to the safety and well-being of residents, especially children.

There has been a rise in intimidation, noise disturbances, theft and illegal drug activities in our area.  . Our children and elderly are particularly vulnerable, with reports of feeling unsafe while playing in the courtyard and entering or leaving the complex.

Evidence has shown that active community policing can lead to a dramatic improvement in such situations.  It's crucial for our local police force to adopt a more proactive approach: regular patrols, rapid response teams, and collaborations with community groups are essential in making our area safe again.

We urge the local police department to take immediate and decisive action to tackle these challenges. By coming together, we can restore peace and safety in our community, ensuring a better environment for everyone.
