My painful childhood was marked by bullying, and now, as a parent, I am witnessing my daughter and numerous other innocent children undergo the same torment in the schools of Prince Edward Island. It's unbearable to see these young hearts being crushed under the heavy weight of bullying, where their rights to be treated with dignity and respect are blatantly ignored.

The lack of action from the School Board of Prince Edward Island to counteract bullying is alarming, with countless children's mental and emotional wellbeing still at stake. According to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, 1 in 3 adolescent students in Canada reports being bullied, which illustrates the gravity of this issue that cannot be overlooked.

We urge the Prince Edward Island School Board to prioritize anti-bullying campaigns, establish a safer educational environment, and implement stricter anti-bullying policies in schools. This is not just about my daughter, or the children being bullied now. This about every child that deserves better treatment and a brighter future. It's about time to act against bullying, to save our children from further harm.
