Add Urdu as a language on Duolingo

Add Urdu as a language on Duolingo
The Issue
My name is Yusuf Bajwa and I believe that Duolingo should add Urdu for one of their language options. There are multiple reasons why people would want this to happen and I will name them. One reason why Duolingo should add Urdu as there language is because around 250 million people on earth speak Urdu making it one of the widely understood language in South Asia. For example, Pakistan ranked number 1 for the most Urdu speakers and there are 109 million Urdu speakers, While in India there are 63 million Urdu speaks. In UAE there are 1.5 million Urdu speakers, while in Saudi Arabia there are 930,000 that speak Urdu. Lastly in Nepal there are 790,000 Urdu speakers there. So in all those 5 countries there are in total 175.2 million Urdu speaks which is more than half of Urdu speaks among the world, and that’s how big of a language Urdu is. Another reason Duolingo should add Urdu as one of their languages is because there are a lot of people on earth who are ethnically Pakistani but they can’t even speak Urdu, and everyone knows that Duolingo is the best language learning app on earth and can help people learn a new language easily. For example I am ethnically Pakistani and I can barely speak Urdu. My ancestors come from the Punjab community and they all spoke Punjabi and Urdu, while my parents and grandparents can all speak Urdu fluently. If I want to communicate with my parents or family in Urdu then I will of course have to learn the language then I can talk to my parents and family in Urdu. My last reason why I think Urdu should be a language on Duolingo is because it’s a major language that connects millions of people everyday. It’s used in movies, music, and media across South Asia, and learning it helps people understand both Pakistani and Indian culture. Many learners want to learn Urdu for travel, family, or friendship, and Duolingo could make it fun and easy for them to start. If this petition gets enough views and likes, then hopefully Duolingo will see this petition and make a change on their app.
