Did you know that Motor Neurone Disease is not covered under Discovery Health or any other medical aids as Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB).

That means that any out of hospital treatment, mobility aids (which will be required) are not covered and are deducted from the member’s savings account, which is either swiftly depleted or not enough.

This is unacceptable as this disease is fatal and affects up to 1 in 300 people.
