As a parent who visits the USJ playground almost every day with my toddler I’ve seen firsthand how precious playground time is. Teaching her to wait her turn for the swing has helped build patience but I also see many little ones walk away disappointed because there’s only one swing available.

This isn’t just about play. It’s about fairness, joy, and childhood development.

The Problem

• Only 1 swing set serves the entire playground.
• 20–30 kids come daily; during peak hours,
• I’ve seen 5–6 children queueing for their turn.
• Most kids only get a few rushed minutes or leave without a turn. Making both parents and kids frustrated.

The Solution

We urge MBSJ (Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya) to install at least one more swing set.

There is plenty of space, and doing this will:

• Reduce long wait times
• Give equal play opportunities to all children
• Enhance social interaction and development
• Foster a more family-friendly community 
   

Why It Matters

This playground is a daily ritual for many families, not just mine. It’s where children learn, grow, and create lasting memories. A second swing may seem small, but it would make a big difference to dozens of children and parents who rely on this space for recreation.
