Hello, I am Sara Stoeckle, a 9th grader at Avonworth High School. As a student at AHS, I am writing this petition to urge the school administration to include lockers in their construction plan. It is confirmed that in the recent construction on the building, there will be no locker access. The school's reasoning for this is to free up space in the hallways. But for many students carrying heavy backpacks throughout the day not only causes physical discomfort but also poses potential health risks for students like myself who suffer from back problems. We must prioritize the well-being and safety of our students by providing them with a practical solution.

Carrying a backpack filled with books, laptops, and other essentials can be an arduous task, especially for those of us who struggle with back pain. The constant strain on our backs can lead to long-term health issues and hinder our ability to focus on academics.
