The Issue

As we enjoyed a lovely Saturday morning at the farmer's market last weekend, I heard the five words that will make any Providence parent's heart sink: "I need to go potty."

While we rushed up to Wildflour I once again found myself wondering why this essential community space has nowhere to go to the bathroom. This is a problem throughout Providence, but I always feel it most acutely here.

Please sign if you agree that the Providence Parks Department should explore adding bathrooms to Lippitt park!  There are many options in nearby cities, ranging from a full building (see RW park) to standalone composting toilets (see many parks in Portland, ME). We're not advocating for one or the other, just that the city take seriously the biological needs of park visitors and build in this basic infrastructure.
