Khan Academy has AWESOME videos and practice problems for SAT, GMAT, and other test preparation. Adults who are struggling to improve their English reading and writing skills, or master the 5 subjects to pass the GED test, are at the bottom of our economic ladder. Educating low literate adults brings children out of poverty while reducing crime and government spending. Eager adult learners should be the first priority and target audience for a "free world class education [for] anyone anywhere."

Please prioritize creating a playlist for Adult Basic Education & GED Preparation.

Khan Academy has AWESOME videos and practice problems for SAT, GMAT, and other test preparation. The math content on the site is being utilized by adult literacy programs. But it is not enough to prepare them for the GED test. Adults who are struggling to improve their English reading and writing skills, or master the 5 subjects to pass the GED test, are at the bottom of our economic ladder and receive the lowest levels of public & private funding. Educating low literate adults brings children out of poverty while reducing crime and government spending. Eager adult learners should be the first priority and target audience for a "free world class education [for] anyone anywhere." In addition, adult learners have different characteristics and motivations than children and videos and practice problem content needs to be appropriately adapted.

This campaign has been organized by Farrell Ink, an educational consulting firm who is coordinating input and allies on the most widely used & effective content in the adult literacy field with the goal of having a free online curriculum for adult literacy learners and providers. The consensus in our field is that Khan Academy has the potential to be our solution...if you are willing to make us a priority. When you are ready to create content for this important audience, please contact Meagen Farrell at farrellink@yahoo.com.
