We would like to propose that adding a road/second exit for our neighborhood as it is a matter of safety. We want to advocate for another road to be built to connect our neighborhood to 395 or an adjacent road to 395. We live in Paradise Cove, and we only have one road for 154 homes. We are worried about safety in the event of a fire, and the likelihood of fire hazard is increasing in our area. We also find it dangerous to pull directly onto 98 during busy times.

We think it is vital to consider more environmentally responsible ways to build a road such as using recycled asphalt or porous pavement and including wildlife bridges or crossings. Therefore, we are committed to collaborating to plan a road with limited environmental impact. We anticipate the road to result in improved safety and mobility and mental health impacts. There has already been one fatality outside our neighborhood, and there was no alternate entry point. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate that you take adding a second exit/entry for our neighborhood into consideration. The US Fire Administration recommends practicing two ways out of your neighborhood in case of a fire, and we only have one!

Our proposed location is just nort of the power line (connecting Blakely Drew Boulevard at JRs Way to Hwy 395) or at Carlos St and Dalton Aubrey Drive. This would eliminate issues with neighboring communities and still allow for a bike path to be built under the power line.
