Add a PvE only server to Star Citizen 1.0

Add a PvE only server to Star Citizen 1.0
The Issue
I will keep this petition to the point and relevant. With this petition I, the petitioner, and those that signed the petition want to plead to Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) for a Player versus Environment (PvE) only server to be added to the game Star Citizen. At least to the 1.0 version of the game, if not sooner during the testing phase of the so called Persistent Universe. Star Citizen is what is referred to as an open world PvP survival sandbox MMO.
Other than standard teambased or solo PvP games (in shooters, race, RTS, MOBA, etc games) where the main stakes are winning a round of a game, after which the game and the stakes are reset, in open world PvP survival sandbox MMO games like Star Citizen the game does not reset, progress is saved and this progress can be undone by other players. While a significant number of gamers likes the thrill of being able to loose everything one has built up over a just as significant number of hours, days, weeks, months and/or even years OR make other players loose this kind of progress, there is an equally significant group of gamers that likes the projectable and predicatble AND very importantly emotionless difficulty an NPC adversary can bring without having to deal with all that can come from interacting in negative and unrestricted ways with other humans.
This petition is started by a follower of the dream since 2013. At that moment in development, which started in november 2012, a number of things were said from the developers side of things. There was talk of PvP sliders and the 10% players vs 90% NPC in the Persistent Universe, ways to make encountering other humans as minimal as possible. But as the years progressed, the development of the game has been increasingly more PvP orientated in every way. And through this the players have experienced the length and breadth AND heigth of the possibilities of negative interactions in a (space) survival MMO. These experiences together with the experiences these gamers have had with similar games like EVE Online, ARK: Survival Evolved, Rust, Elite: Dangerous, Sea of Thieves, etc. will easily make those more PvE oriented play the games less or stop playing the games indefinitely or even permanently.
This is where PvE servers come in as a solid solution to the problem at hand. CIG and the PvP community of this game and others have been using togetherness, the need of a single server, "PvP is the essence of this game" and "PvE servers won't work" as reasons why not to add a PvE oriented server as an option to the original server. Following will be a number of reasons why a PvE server would be positive for both the gamers and the company both:
-It has been done before positively on a number of occasions. World of Warcrsft has the choice between PvE and PvP servers. ARK has official and unofficial PvP and PvE servers. Elite: Dangerous has the official experience, while the unofficial Mobius PvE server has (by their own words) 40.000 people on their server. No Man's sky has PvP survival and PvE only experiences players can choose from. Even Sea of Thieves now gives players the Safe Seas PvE option.
-PvE players will opt out of playing/paying for your game. (Because of not having done research on this point, I will note that this point is all my own experience, though one can count that a significant number will have the same experiences.) I have 6000 hours in ARK, a 1000 hours in Elite Dangerous, 500 hours in No Man's Sky and another 3000 hours in World of Warcraft, and another 100 hours in Destiny. I have only 20 hours in EVE Online, 10 hours in Black Dessert Online, I do not play Rust, I have stopped playing Star Citizen. What is the difference between all these games? The prior have PvE oriented modes, the latter do not. I have put loads of money in the proir games, but I find putting money in the latter a waste of doing so.
-Adding a PvE oriented server will not decrease player count, but increase it. The angst that hangs around adding a PvE server, deviding the playerbase, is based on nonsense. If the official server cannot handle a PvE server running next to it purely based on player count, the PvP part of the game and its incentives of joining said PvP server is not worth the effort of having a PvP oriented server running. On the point of deviding the player base, that is what not having a PvE server is doing already. Again, I will not speak for others, but i have stopped playing the Alpha/Beta for 5/6 years now and I am sure many other bakers and potential Star Citizen players also do not play, even though they would love to back (extra for) the game/project.
I will not deny that CIG listening and acting on this petition about adding a PvE server is also in my own good intrest, but that is because I really want to enjoy playing this game, or even play it at all. I take it this sentiment is strong in a significant number of people , which is why I dare to put up this petition. Even if there would only be a PvE server during or after the launch of 1.0, the certainty of such a fact would not only make me start testplaying the current and future build of the Persistent Universe, but I would also find my investment in the game a worthwhile experience again and would love to spend more money into the project again. And I reckon many other ex and potential players/backers would join the development and final game if a PvE experience would be a certainty.
A bigger pool of playing money earners would be healthier for both the company and the game on the long run, one would reckon? Certainly when you bring in not only a sizable untouched pool of gamers that will stick with you while at the moment will not touch your game, but also a whole lot of goodwill while through adding a PvE only experience will do nothing worse to those that enjoy the PvP experience apart from making the SC experience of PvE players a negative or non-existing one.
