A dog park is desperately needed in the Jerome area. Given that the new park, whose construction will begin soon (spring 2023), is a whopping 17 acres, it seems reasonable that there would be substantial room to accommodate a fenced ‘dog park’ area. 

Boise has multiple dog parks. Twin Falls has one that stays quite busy. Pocatello and Idaho Falls also both have impressive parks where our furry friends, as well as their owners, are able to enjoy social time in an outdoor setting. 

It is less common for a household not to have a dog than to have a furry family member these days. I am certain the number of Jerome City Dog License will reflect this. 

Please help us petition Mayor Davis, Jerome County Commissioners, and other community decision-makers involved in the construction of this new park, to add a reasonably sized dog park to benefit the numerous community members who own dogs and who desperately need a dedicated area where dogs and owners are able to recreate alongside each other.
