Make skill based match making for a competitive/ranked mode only on Call of Duty: Warzone
The Issue
I think we all miss the days of not being in an entire Call of Duty lobby with only sweaty players. With Warzone implementing skill based match making the game has lost some if its fun. Before skill based match making anybody could be in a game with shroud and someone in their first game at the same time. This made the game more exciting because the chance to be the best player in the lobby increased. Don't get me wrong me and all my friends still play Warzone, but it is becoming less fun because everyone were up against are experienced, really good players. This is making the game simply too hard, and much harder to come by wins.
This problem has a solution, if Warzone implemented a ranked/competitive mode then it would kill two bird with one collateral bullet. In a normal/casual mode it would be random, non-skill based match making. This would make the games less sweaty and intense. While players who are looking to play the game at its highest level, or at least against players with their own skill level could queue up for ranked/competitive mode. A ranked mode would actually increase the fun and enjoyment for both types of players. For a casual player who just got off a long day of work, normal mode is for you. While a more serious player who wants his or her lobby to be full of players of their skill level then ranked is for you. All while feeling progression in the game since you could climb the ranked ladder.
This is a simple solution that has been proven to work, other battle royals like Apex Legends and Fortnite have already implemented ranked/competitive modes into their core game. Call of Duty: Warzone's skill based match making is ruining the game at its current point. However, if skill based match making was only for ranked/competitive mode then it would evolve the game to another greater level. Its time for Activision and Call of Duty to make this change.
