We believe that the skill-based matchmaking in the newest game in the call of duty franchise is not a good system. We believe it should either be removed entirely or a ranked division of multiplayer be instated. For the people who want casual games, it's hard to enjoy the game when you have people who try too hard to win and all you want to do is enjoy playing with friends and not have to worry about people who want to take the game too seriously. Take my friends and i for example, we find zombies phenomenal, the campaign intriguing and interactive with insane graphics, but when it comes to the multiplayer aspect it seems lacking. The fundamentals of what the call of duty is grounded on are multiplayer, most people don't come exclusively for the zombies or exclusively for the campaign they come for the who shebang. However, when a third (unweighted) of the game is falling short it drives people away. Multiplayer is arguably the most important part of the game, with its endless replayability and unpredictability. Keeping the game how it is will drop the player count and most likely discourage others from buying it. Skill-based matchmaking has been a struggle throughout most modern era games and has been the main issue facing gamers who want to enjoy a good game. With skill-based matchmaking gone the ratings will go up and more people will be actively engaged.
