The Issue

Paladins are a heavy-armored, healer-tank-melee hybrid class in World of Warcraft. Their abilities revolve around the usage of the Light, a worldly force that is directly powerful in its usage, and borderline religious in its connotation. Naturally, one would expect such a prolific user of the Light to be spiritual, and what race on Azeroth is more spiritual than the peace-loving Pandaren?

Let's go over some of the benefits and drawbacks of making this change.

PROS:
- Pandaren monks are devout, sound of mind, and hardy. All of these traits also happen to be the qualities of an ideal paladin. Pandaren and paladins are practically made for each other!
- An ideal paladin is well-read and in tune with their inner self. Pandaren are naturally inclined toward inner peace, and the Lorewalkers have documented practically everything there is to know about Pandaria!
- There's potential to play as a monk-warrior hybrid, describing a Pandaren character as devout to the Celestials, as well as masterful in weapon-based combat.
- You can play as a fluffy, round, sanctified bear-crusader! What's not to love about that?

CONS:
- A few people might get angry because they think Pandaren are a joke race. Seriously, how are you still salty? Mists of Pandaria released eight years ago. Get over yourself.
