Back in 2012 the MBTA decided the eliminate bus route 48 due to lack of ridership, but it didn't sit well with everyone especially the elderly and the disabled that regularly take route 48 to goto their appointments, grocery stores, and more. The 48 route also had connections with the orange line at Jackson Sq, Stony Brook, and Green Street stations.

Now that Governor Charlie Baker have lifted covid as well as the State of Emergency, why not bring back the J.P. Loop as a pilot route? There's now a better chance of keeping it permanent in the age of social media.
