Act Now: International Investigation for Adrianna Younge – Expose the Cover-Up

Act Now: International Investigation for Adrianna Younge – Expose the Cover-Up
The Issue
On April 23, 2025, 11-year-old Adrianna Younge disappeared during a family outing at a hotel in Guyana. Nearly 20 hours later, her body was found in the hotel pool—a location her family had searched multiple times but were denied access to by hotel staff and police for over 10 hours after reporting her missing. Shortly after, the hotel was burned down under suspicious circumstances. Evidence indicates that her body may have been tampered with before a proper autopsy could be conducted. The cause of death remains inconclusive, although pathologists stated they could not rule out forceful drowning.
Adrianna’s grieving family immediately raised concerns and, due to a lack of trust in local authorities, hired two independent pathologists from the United States to participate in the postmortem examination. However, they were denied initial access to forensic evidence. Shockingly, no photographs were taken of Adrianna’s body upon arrival at the morgue, and cotton wool was still in her nose when she was found in the pool—raising ther concerns about the integrity of the investigation.
The Guyanese police and government have repeatedly ignored the family’s calls for international assistance. The family and their lawyer have formally requested help from the FBI, Scotland Yard, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), but those pleas remain unanswered. Meanwhile, individuals seeking justice have faced silencing, threats, and neglect. During peaceful protests, two civilians were killed, and Adrianna’s father was threatened with arrest.
As a Guyanese-born British citizen, I felt compelled to act, even though Adrianna was not a UK national, because injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere. My goal is to bring this case to the attention of the UK Government, given the UK’s longstanding ties with Guyana as a Commonwealth nation. We are calling on the UK to use its diplomatic and legal influence to push for an independent international investigation and support the family’s calls for transparency, accountability, and justice.
This petition is not a call for charity or monetary contributions. We are simply demanding justice, truth, and accountability—and we need your voice.
While we wait for the official UK Parliament petition to be approved, this Change.org petition serves as a vital tool to demonstrate international public support and build pressure for government action.
We are calling on the UK Government to act now:
1. The UK must formally urge the Guyanese Government to allow independent international investigators to intervene.
2. International agencies like the FBI, Scotland Yard, and the RCMP must be permitted to assist in a full, transparent investigation.
3. The UK should engage with UN bodies, the Commonwealth Secretariat, and other human rights organizations to ensure oversight and accountability.
4. The Guyanese Government and Police Force must be held accountable for the obstruction, mismanagement, and potential cover-up of Adrianna’s death.
Adrianna deserves justice. Her family deserves answers. And the world deserves the truth.
