The U.S.D.A. will not allow Certain drug felons to receive food stamps.
An often overlooked provision in the 1996 welfare reform act barred felons with drug convictions from obtaining welfare — including participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps) now take a moment to let that sink in, if I had murdered or sexually assaulted someone I could still get S.N.A.P/Food stamps. I have to take a stand and spread the word about this. I had an addiction when I was younger, now that I have been clean 5 Year's (praise God) taxes are still taken out for programs like food stamps and S.N.A.P for anyone that has a drug conviction charge..... Isn't that taxation without representation. Please join me and let's end this hypocrisy and oppression from the war on drugs. I am not trying to give drug dealers a pass in my active addiction I got caught selling drugs to support my habit the only time I've been in trouble. I have paid taxes since I was 15 years old with a workers permit from school I am now 34 years old and it just blows my mind that a murderer or child molester can still receive food stamps but not somebody that made a mistake and became addicted to a substance let's end this madness #wedorecover #mamaimhungry #taxationwithoutrepresentation
