Cafodd Capel Celyn, cymuned Cymreig ei foddi yn 1965.  Ers hynny mae gweddillion y pentref wedi ail ddangos yma ac acw dros y blynyddoedd.  Yn ystod mis Awst i Hydref 2022 mae’r capel wedi ail ddangos yn ogystal â’r fynwent ac ychydig o Bont ar Gelyn o’r dŵr.  I ble mae’r dŵr yn mynd bellach yr oes hon?

Deallir bod Dŵr Cymru/Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru yn medru rheoli uchder y dŵr.

Oes angen felly i Ddŵr Cymru/Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru ail foddi Capel Celyn unwaith eto?

Arwyddwch y ddeiseb hon os gwelwch yn dda os ydych eisiau gweld gweddillion Capel Celyn yn cael ei amddiffyn rhag ei foddi unwaith eto yn ogystal a’r angen i ymgymryd a gwaith adnewyddu hanfodol ar weddillion adeiladau’r pentref ar gyfer ein cenhedlaethau i ddod drwy ddynodi a chydnabod y safle fel safle a warchodir gan hanes y byd a threftadaeth.

Capel Celyn, a Welsh community was drowned in 1965. Since then the remains of the village has reappeared here and there over the years.  During August to October 2022 the chapel has reappeared as well as the cemetery and a piece of Pont ar Gelyn from the water.  Where does the water go now?

It is understood that Welsh Water/Natural Resources Wales can control the water level.

Does Welsh Water/Natural Resources Wales therefore need to re-flood Capel Celyn once again?
