The Issue

We, the citizens of India, are witnessing a severe crisis of governance, accountability, and public welfare. A government’s primary duty, as enshrined in the Indian Constitution, is to serve its people, ensure their safety, and foster economic well-being. Today, we are seeing a stark divergence from these constitutional values.

This petition is born out of deep concern over systemic failures across multiple sectors that directly impact the daily lives and safety of ordinary citizens.

The Core Breaches of Public Trust
1. Economic Strain, Taxation, and Artificial Fuel Pricing
Despite global crude oil prices experiencing significant drops, the financial burden on the average Indian citizen continues to skyrocket.

High Taxation: Citizens are taxed heavily at every turn, yet the return in public services remains severely lacking.
Fuel Prices: Premium petrol reaches up to ₹170/litre, and ethanol-blended petrol sits around ₹111/litre—completely bypassing past assurances that blended fuels would bring costs down to the ₹80–₹90 range.
Forced Ethanol Blending: Ethanol blending is being expanded without clear public transparency regarding consumer choice or tangible price relief for the end user.
2. Infrastructure Failures and Loss of Innocent Lives
Substandard Construction: We regularly witness bridges collapsing, roads developing massive potholes within months of completion, and poorly executed infrastructure projects.
Lack of Accountability: These are not mere accidents; they are the direct result of corruption and negligence. Citizens are losing their lives due to faulty engineering and lack of oversight, yet no severe administrative accountability is being established.
3. Failure in Law, Order, and Women's Safety
Safety Crisis: The rising numbers and severity of crimes against women, including rape, demand urgent, uncompromising executive and judicial action.
Institutional Silence: Instead of swift, transparent justice, there is a perceived culture of silence, delay, and administrative protection for individuals holding official or influential positions despite facing grave accusations.
4. Suppression of Dissent and Civic Rights
Labeling Critics: A healthy democracy thrives on questioning the government. However, when citizens, activists, or the public ask hard questions about governance, infrastructure, or policy failures, they are routinely labeled "anti-national" to deflect from the government's own shortcomings.
Silencing the Public: Ministers and public officials must be answerable to the people, not insulated from criticism.
5. Institutional and Financial Lack of Transparency
Mismanagement of Public & Religious Trusts: Massive donations, including those dedicated to major national and spiritual projects like the Ram Mandir, require complete, audited transparency to ensure public funds and community contributions are never diverted or mismanaged for personal or political gain.
Our Demand
We demand an immediate, systemic return to constitutional accountability. The public cannot be treated merely as taxpayers without rights or a voice.

By signing this petition, we collectively demand:

Immediate Price Correction: A transparent restructuring of fuel prices in alignment with global crude realities and the promised benefits of blended fuels.
Strict Infrastructure Audits: Independent criminal investigations and blacklisting of contractors/officials responsible for fatal infrastructure failures.
Zero Tolerance for Crimes Against Women: Immediate removal and fast-tracked prosecution of any public official or leader accused of sexual violence.
Protection of Free Speech: An end to the weaponization of labels against citizens exercising their democratic right to question authority.
If the current leadership cannot uphold its oath to the Indian Constitution and serve the public interest, we demand a democratic reset, strict policy reforms, and absolute transparency.

Sign and share this petition to demand the governance we truly deserve.
