Ever since this pandemic started, all of us are left with no choice but to stay at home for the safety of everyone. Education has been conducted online using gadgets and several multimedia platforms instead of face-to-face classes. It's definitely a new experience for everyone, especially for the students, that they had a difficult time in adapting to this new normal way of learning. At first, many people requested academic freeze to all education sectors because not everyone can afford the required gadgets for classes or even install an internet provider at home. There are also students who struggle and risks themselves to personally get their own modules for homeschooling. Unfortunately, the sectors still decided to pursue online classes and distance learning.

As of now, the chance that we could hope for is academic ease. Yes, it is way different from academic freeze because teachers are still working and students are still studying but this time, in a slower pace. Some people don't consider this because they think that students are "lazy", which is absolutely wrong. Most of the students have unstable mental health already and some already commit suicide due to stress and anxiety. Not all students are able to cope up easily with the lessons taught online, even in self-studying. Not only that, from the recent disasters, our co-Filipinos are suffering right now especially those devastated by both Typhoon Rolly and Ulysses. Earthquakes recently happened in Mindanao which destroyed a lot of homes and infrastructures. Are we going to just leave the students and teachers there behind? Of course, we should not. Wake up and open your mind about this situation. Again, best solution as of now is to implement academic ease for health, safety, and benefit of everyone and the whole country.
