The current K-12 curriculum that is widely used to educate the kids of our nation has grown into a major systemic issue. Specifically the integral part homework still plays in it to this day.  Homework fundamentally induces apathy and it just simply does not help incubate a successful work environment for all students. Teachers need more freedom in how they get kids to connect with the topic because teachers deserve more individual respect.

But when homework starts to erode family relationships and/or build upon the student’s stress, it is high time to make changes to the curriculum. 

People need this change in this world because these kids are the future, as children will always be and treating them as some sort of memorization monster just for some good test scores just to cast you out when they don't need you anymore. there is more humanity in school for the students than there was sixty years ago, so we are heading in a better direction as a whole, but these two things would be one massive step further towards that goal.
