Abolished Rice Terafication law, Save the Philippines' Rice Economy

The Issue

Growing up we witnessed the struggles of Filipino Farmers. They work day and night to make sure that all of us have rice in our table and the little sum of money  they make is not enough in exchange of their hard work.

The farming industry of the Philippines is experiencing major decline. Ever since the implementation of the Republic Act No. 11203 or the Rice tariffication law.  The Rice tarrification Law makes the farmer's income much smaller. We Filipinos has already resorted it, importing from other country because our rice economy can't keep up.

The Rice tarrification Law affected the farmers income due to the decreased of rice prices. Farmers prices are lower than the prices on the market in that instance farmers income would lower than it was before

In the past the seven years, the cost of our palay per kilogram rose to P12. It is because of the fertilizer and taxes. As we can see this is undeniably high compare to the price of palay per kilogram years ago.

In 2020 the average cost of palay per kilogram rose to 12. 02 from 11. 50 due to high expenditures of fertilizer and payment for laborer. According to Philippines Statistics Authority thet the ine yearly  income of farmers declineto an 8 year low of 19, 680 per hectares

We would like to use our voice to help the farmers to have their own land and to abolish the law that has been affecting our rice economy for a long period of time.
