I am one of many victims who have suffered under the corrupt practices of the Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA). Like countless others, I've been subjected to outrageous fines for simply trying to park safely in my own neighborhood. The PPA's system is not only harsh, but it also weighs us down with unjust debt. They boot and tow vehicles without prior communication, then expect us to afford their arbitrary system of fees.

The PPA's workers are not above corruption either. There have been instances where they fabricate tickets just to appear productive during their shifts. This lack of integrity within the organization is a clear indication that it needs a complete overhaul.

Our small neighborhoods deserve justice and fair treatment from those in authority. The current state of affairs with the PPA does not reflect these values, making life harder for residents instead of easier.

According to a report by WHYY News, there has been an ongoing federal investigation into corruption within the PPA since 2016 (source: WHYY News). This shows that our concerns are valid and need urgent attention.

We call upon our local government officials in Philadelphia, PA, USA - abolish this corrupt organization or at least implement strict oversight measures on its operations. We deserve better than this unjust treatment from an authority meant to serve us.
