I am an employee at MTK News, and I have witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of our current hierarchical system. The Board of Directors (BOD) has imposed arbitrary changes that have not only disrupted our workflow but also created a climate of fear and uncertainty among staff members.

In this digital age, where information is power, it is crucial to recognize that each role within a news organization contributes equally to its success. An author's contribution should be valued just as much as that of the CEO. However, at MTK News, this is far from reality.

The BOD's recent decisions have shown a disregard for the value we bring as employees. Their actions are not in line with modern management practices which emphasize flat organizational structures for increased efficiency and better communication (source: Harvard Business Review).

We believe it's time for a change - time to abolish both the ranked system and the current Board of Directors at MTK News. We need leaders who understand our roles, respect our contributions, and foster an environment where everyone feels valued.
