I am an avid vapor and an employee of a vape shop in Florence, Kentucky. The introduction of House Bill 11 and Senate Bill 344 threatens not only my livelihood but also the survival of small businesses across our state. These bills aim to restrict the sale of vape products, which are widely recognized as a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes.

The impact on small businesses is significant; these shops are often family-owned and provide employment for local residents like me. Moreover, vaping has been proven to be less harmful than smoking traditional cigarettes by numerous studies including those conducted by Public Health England. It's estimated that vaping is around 95% less harmful than smoking.

In addition, these bills take away the right for adults to choose a healthier alternative to smoking cigarettes. This isn't just about business; it's about public health too.

We urge lawmakers in Kentucky to reconsider their stance on this issue and abolish House Bill 11 / Senate Bill 344 for the sake of small businesses, employment opportunities and public health in our state.
