The Issue

Our community of Longleaf Pines, located in the beautiful city of New Bern, NC, is currently suffering under the management of our Homeowners' Association (HOA). Many residents, including myself, have witnessed a significant increase in HOA fees without any corresponding improvements in our neighborhood. It's a frustrating situation that affects not only the financial well-being of the families but also the quality of life in Longleaf Pines.

Over the past few years, despite paying higher and higher rates, our neighborhood hasn't seen any meaningful changes or enhancements. Roads are beginning to deteriorate, common areas are left unmanaged, and the beauty that once characterized Longleaf Pines is slowly fading. Worst of all, the entire area is being poorly coordinated, leaving residents feeling fed up.

Moreover, the management responsible for overseeing our beloved neighborhood continues to treat residents with indifference and sometimes even hostility. Complaints about services and the upkeep of our community facilities are often ignored, and the overall attitude from those in charge is dismissive and unhelpful.

Given these constant issues, it is apparent that a change is urgently needed. Abolishing the current HOA and replacing it with a new, committed and transparent management team is necessary to revive the spirit of Longleaf Pines and ensure it's a community we are proud to call home.

The solution requires establishing a new HOA composed of passionate individuals who are truly invested in the wellbeing and improvement of Longleaf Pines. This would mean setting realistic and justified financial contributions from residents, creating transparent channels of communication, and prioritizing community needs and issues effectively.

We call upon the residents of Longleaf Pines, as well as the wider community of New Bern, to support this initiative. By coming together, we can advocate for a better managed and more accountable Homeowners' Association that will not only listen to our needs but also actively work towards enhancing our neighborhood.

Please join us in signing this petition to abolish the current HOA and bring about the necessary changes to ensure Longleaf Pines remains a thriving and welcoming community.
